Waxed Weathered Cut Copper is the honeycomb-coated form of Weathered Cut Copper, the third of the four oxidation stages of the cut-copper block family added in Java Edition 1.17. Using a honeycomb on Weathered Cut Copper wraps it in wax and permanently locks its green-brown, patchy patina in place, so lightning strikes and further weathering can no longer push it toward the darker Oxidized stage. Waxed Weathered Cut Copper still requires a stone pickaxe or better to mine, breaking it with anything weaker drops nothing, and it stacks to 64 like any other building block. Scraping the block with an axe strips the wax and returns it to plain Weathered Cut Copper, so the coating is reversible if a build later needs a block that keeps oxidizing.

Waxed Weathered Cut Copper cuts on a stonecutter into matching slabs at two per block, stairs, and chiseled copper, all locked at the same weathered look. Builders use it to freeze a roof or wall at the mid-weathered stage without tracking oxidation timers, which matters for symmetric builds where one side should never darken past the other. Copper is renewable because drowned mobs drop copper ingots, so a steady supply of Weathered Cut Copper and Honeycomb keeps this waxed variant available for large-scale patina-controlled architecture.
