Description

Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern is crafted by combining a Weathered Copper Lantern with Honeycomb, and the wax stops any further oxidation. The weathered stage is the third of four copper stages and looks green with brown spots, so Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern keeps that color permanently instead of turning teal like an Oxidized Copper Lantern.

Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern emits light level 15, the maximum in Minecraft, and the weathered stage never dims that light. Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern melts snow layers within 2 blocks and ice within 3 blocks. Builds that need a stable green-and-brown palette suit Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern, since unwaxed copper lanterns keep aging and the waxed lantern does not.

Guide

How to get a Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Reach the weathered stage

A placed Copper Lantern oxidizes over time and becomes a Weathered Copper Lantern at the third stage, green with brown spots.

  2. 2

    Combine with Honeycomb

The crafting grid accepts the Weathered Copper Lantern and one Honeycomb, and the output is one Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern.

  3. 3

    Place the lantern

Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern stands on the top face of a solid block or hangs from the bottom face of a solid block.

  4. 4

    Add an Iron Chain

Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern hung from the bottom face of an Iron Chain connects to the chain seamlessly.

Taking the lantern back

Any tool mines Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern and the pickaxe is the fastest, and the lantern drops itself. A piston pushing a block into the lantern's position, or a support block that is moved or destroyed, also breaks the lantern and drops the item.
