How to Make Warped Shelf in Minecraft

Warped Shelf is a nether wood storage block that holds up to 3 item stacks and shows every stored item in front of the block, similar to an item frame. Each of the 3 slots fits a full stack of a stackable item or a single non-stackable item, and interacting with a slot swaps the player's main hand item with that slot while Warped Shelf is unpowered. Crafting gives 6 Warped Shelves from 6 stripped warped stems placed in the top and bottom rows of a 3×3 grid, with the middle row left empty. Warped Shelf joined Minecraft in Java 1.21.9 and Bedrock 1.21.111. Like all nether shelves, Warped Shelf never catches fire and never smelts items as furnace fuel.

Redstone power turns Warped Shelf into a hotbar controller: interacting with one powered shelf swaps the 3 shelf slots with the 3 rightmost hotbar slots, two connected powered shelves cover 6 slots, and three connected shelves swap the whole 9-slot hotbar at once. A redstone comparator reading Warped Shelf from behind outputs signal 1 for the left slot, 2 for the middle slot, 4 for the right slot, and 7 when every slot holds an item. Hoppers and droppers load Warped Shelf automatically from left to right, and a hopper placed underneath pulls stored items back out.
