Description

Tuff Brick Wall is a decorative wall variant of tuff bricks added to Minecraft in Java 1.21 and Bedrock 1.21.0, and the block never generates naturally in the world. A crafting table turns six Tuff Bricks arranged in two rows of three into six Tuff Brick Walls, and a stonecutter cuts one Tuff, Polished Tuff, or Tuff Bricks block into one wall. Mining requires a pickaxe of any tier — a Wooden Pickaxe is enough — and a Tuff Brick Wall broken without a pickaxe drops nothing. Tuff Brick Wall stacks to 64, is not renewable, cannot catch fire, and is not destroyed by lava.

Like every wall in Minecraft, Tuff Brick Wall stands 1.5 blocks tall for player and mob collisions while filling a single block space, which stops most mobs from jumping over the fence line. Tuff Brick Wall automatically connects to horizontally adjacent walls and other connectable block surfaces, and the placed wall can be waterlogged (holds water in the same block space). Fencing an area with Tuff Brick Wall costs half as many blocks as a barrier of full blocks two layers high. Builders pair Tuff Brick Wall with Tuff, Polished Tuff, and Tuff Bricks for coarsely textured ruins, towers, and fortress-style ramparts.
