Description

Spruce Wood is the full-bark variant of the spruce log, displaying bark texture on all six faces instead of cross-section rings on the top and bottom. It is produced by arranging four spruce logs in a 2×2 square on a crafting grid, which yields three Spruce Wood blocks. The source spruce trees grow in taiga, snowy taiga, spruce groves and old growth taiga biomes, where giant variants tower over the landscape.

The block is mined fastest with an axe and always drops itself when broken. Right-clicking with any axe strips it into Stripped Spruce Wood, exposing the pale inner timber; four stripped logs in a 2×2 grid produce stripped wood directly. It also serves as fuel in a furnace, smelting one and a half items per block. Builders favour it for log cabins, beams and rustic facades where uniform bark is preferred over visible end grain.
