How to craft and use a Resin Brick Slab in Minecraft
-
1
Gather resin clumps
Find a Creaking in the Pale Garden and hit it so it drips resin clumps onto nearby pale oak logs, then break the clumps to collect them.
-
2
Smelt the resin bricks
Smelt resin clumps in a furnace to get resin bricks, then fill a 2x2 grid with four resin bricks to craft one Resin Bricks block.
-
3
Craft the slabs
Place three Resin Bricks blocks across one row of a crafting table to make six Resin Brick Slabs, or put one block in a stonecutter for two.
-
4
Place and combine
Aim at the top or bottom half of a face to set the slab there, and stack two slabs in one space to form a full double block.
Resin bricks and all their variants exist only from Java Edition 1.21.4 and Bedrock Edition 1.21.50 onward; older worlds have no resin until they are updated.

Frequently asked questions
What version added the Resin Brick Slab?
The Resin Brick Slab was added in Java Edition 1.21.4 and Bedrock Edition 1.21.50, alongside the rest of the resin and Pale Garden content.
How do you make a Resin Brick Slab?
Place three Resin Bricks blocks in a horizontal row to craft six slabs, or put one Resin Bricks block into a stonecutter to get two slabs.
Is the Resin Brick Slab renewable?
Yes. A Creaking keeps producing resin clumps in the Pale Garden, so you can farm resin and craft the slab without limit.
What tool breaks it fastest?
Any pickaxe mines the Resin Brick Slab fastest, and the slab always drops itself when broken, with no silk touch needed.
Can the Resin Brick Slab be waterlogged?
Yes. Like other slabs, a single Resin Brick Slab can hold water and sit in either the top or bottom half of a block.
