Description

Quartz Pillar is crafted from two quartz blocks stacked vertically, creating a bright column with a directional lined texture. Its orientation changes with placement, so the grooves can run upward, sideways, or across ceilings. This makes it more flexible than a plain white block when a build needs rhythm, trim, or classical structure.\n\nThe block is common in temples, museums, villas, courthouses, sci-fi bases, bathrooms, and polished Nether-themed halls. How to craft and place a Quartz Pillar in Minecraft

    Mine Nether Quartz Ore in the Nether to collect Nether Quartz. Alternatively, barter with Piglins using gold ingots for a chance to receive Nether Quartz in bulk.

    Stack 2 Quartz Blocks vertically in the crafting grid (one above the other) to receive 2 Quartz Pillars. This recipe is available in both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.

    When placing a Quartz Pillar, the grooved lines align with the axis you click. Click the top or bottom of a block to orient the stripes vertically; click a side face to rotate them horizontally. This lets you run pillars sideways as ceiling beams or floor strips.
