Alternatively, use a Stonecutter to convert 1 Polished Cinnabar into 1 Polished Cinnabar Slab with no material waste. Stacking two Polished Cinnabar Slabs on top of each other produces a full-height double slab block.
Polished Cinnabar Slab requires a pickaxe to mine — bare hands drop nothing. Polished Cinnabar Slab is non-flammable and shares the blast resistance of other polished stone-type blocks, making Polished Cinnabar Slab a durable choice for builds that need moderate explosion protection. Polished Cinnabar Slab does not conduct Redstone signals differently from other slabs in the vanilla game.
