Pitcher Pod
Pitcher Pod is a renewable seed that a Sniffer digs out of dirt blocks, planted on farmland to grow the decorative Pitcher Plant.
Description
Pitcher Pod is planted on farmland and grows through five crop stages (age 0 to age 4) into a two-block-tall pitcher crop, accelerated by bone meal. Breaking the crop before age 4 returns one Pitcher Pod, while breaking the fully grown age 4 crop drops one decorative Pitcher Plant instead. Beyond farming, Pitcher Pod feeds chickens (speeding chick growth by 10%), tames parrots, and offers a 30% chance to raise a composter's level by one in Minecraft 1.20.

How to get Pitcher Pods and grow a Pitcher Crop in Minecraft
-
1
Hatch a Sniffer
Brush suspicious sand found inside warm ocean ruins until a Sniffer Egg drops, then place that egg on any block and wait for it to hatch into a Sniffer.
-
2
Breed more Sniffers
Feed torchflower seeds to two adult Sniffers to produce a second Sniffer Egg, so a small flock keeps digging Pitcher Pods for the player.
-
3
Let Sniffers dig on dirt
Release the Sniffer onto a dirt-type block such as dirt, grass block, podzol, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, moss block, or mud, and the Sniffer digs up and drops one Pitcher Pod.
-
4
Collect the dropped pod
Walk over the dropped Pitcher Pod before its five-minute despawn timer expires, since the item stacks to 64 for convenient bulk storage.
-
5
Plant on farmland and bone meal
Right-click tilled farmland with a Pitcher Pod to plant it, then apply bone meal to push the crop through its five growth stages toward the fully grown Pitcher Plant.
Sniffers cannot dig on mycelium at all, so never build a dig pen from that block. A freshly planted Pitcher Crop at age 0 is also fragile: any entity walking on the crop can trample and destroy it, while crops at age 1 or higher are immune to trampling.

How do you get a Pitcher Pod in Minecraft?
