Pink Candle
Pink Candle is a decorative light-source block that stacks four candles per space and shines at light level 3 to 12 (glow strength, 0–15).
Description
Pink Candle generates nowhere in the world and never appears in structure chests or villager trades, so crafting is the only survival source. A waterlogged Pink Candle cannot be lit, and water or a simple player interaction extinguishes a burning candle. Lava never ignites Pink Candle, because candles are neither flammable nor lava-susceptible. A single Pink Candle can also be placed on an uneaten Cake, turning the Cake into a candle cake; when the cake is eaten or destroyed, the candle drops back. Pink Candle stacks to 64, breaks with any tool or bare hands, and places only on solid blocks.

How to Craft and Light a Pink Candle in Minecraft

Craft the Pink Candle
Place one undyed Candle and one Pink Dye together on the crafting grid to receive one Pink Candle.

Place the candle
Set the Pink Candle on top of a solid block; the candle appears unlit after placement.

Light the flame
Use flint and steel, a fire charge, or a flaming projectile on the Pink Candle; on Bedrock Edition a burning player or mob also lights the candle.

Stack up to four candles
Add up to three more Pink Candles into the same block space; the light level climbs from 3 to 12, and candles joining an already lit stack catch fire automatically.

Extinguish the flame
Interact with the lit Pink Candle or touch the flame with water to put the candle out without breaking anything.
A waterlogged Pink Candle cannot be lit, so remove the water before striking flint and steel.
How to craft this block
Frequently asked questions
Can you find Pink Candles in generated structures?
No. Structures and structure chests hold plain, white, red, brown, green, and purple candles, never pink ones. Crafting one Candle plus one Pink Dye is the only survival source.
Do villagers sell Pink Candles?
No. Librarian villagers sell only red and yellow candles. Pink Candle must be crafted by hand.
Does a lit Pink Candle burn out over time?
No. A lit Pink Candle burns indefinitely; only water or player interaction puts the flame out.
Does water destroy a Pink Candle?
No. Water only extinguishes the flame, and the candle itself survives; a waterlogged Pink Candle simply cannot be lit.
Can Pink Candles mix with other candle colors in one block?
