Description

Pink Bundle is the pink-dyed variant of the bundle, a storage item that keeps a mixed stack of item types inside a single inventory slot. One plain bundle combined with one pink dye crafts a Pink Bundle, and the base bundle takes one string above one leather on the crafting grid — a Java 1.21.2 recipe that replaced the old version of two strings and six rabbit hides. Space inside follows stack sizes: a 64-stackable item fills 1/64 of a Pink Bundle, a 16-stackable item such as an ender pearl fills 1/16, and a non-stacking sword claims the whole bundle. Bundles do not stack, but a Pink Bundle nests inside another bundle for 1/16 of the outer space, while shulker boxes never fit into a bundle.

Sixteen dyed bundle colors let a player color-code storage the same way shulker boxes do, telling a Pink Bundle of food from a blue bundle of building blocks at a glance. Left-click inserts the held item into a Pink Bundle, right-click pulls the most recently added item back out, and scrolling browses the earlier stacks; using the bundle in the hotbar throws the most recently added stack in the direction the player faces. A Pink Bundle destroyed by fire or a cactus drops its entire contents on the ground, like a broken shulker box.

Guide

How to Craft and Use a Pink Bundle in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Craft a plain bundle

Place one string directly above one leather on the crafting grid to produce one plain bundle.

  2. 2

    Dye the bundle pink

Put the plain bundle and one pink dye anywhere on the crafting grid; the shapeless recipe yields one Pink Bundle.

  3. 3

    Fill the Pink Bundle

Pick the Pink Bundle up on the cursor and left-click each item to drop it inside; the fullness bar shows the remaining space.

  4. 4

    Take items back out

Right-click the Pink Bundle to retrieve the most recently added item, or scroll over the open bundle to pick an earlier stack.

  5. 5

Empty the Pink Bundle on the move

Use the Pink Bundle in the hotbar to throw the most recently added stack in the direction the player faces.

Watch the fullness bar

The blue fullness bar under the bundle icon turns red when the Pink Bundle is completely full, so a red bar means no new item fits inside.

Frequently asked questions

Can I find a Pink Bundle in a chest?

No. Village chests can hold only the plain bundle (since Java 1.21.5 and Bedrock 1.21.70); the pink variant exists only through dye crafting.

Can a Pink Bundle hold another bundle?

Yes. Bundles nest inside one another, and each bundle placed inside consumes 1/16 of the outer bundle plus the space its own contents take up.

Can I keep Pink Bundles in a shulker box?

Yes. A bundle fits inside a shulker box even though a shulker box never fits inside a bundle.

Which Minecraft version added Pink Bundle?

Dyed bundles in 16 colors arrived in Java 1.21.2 and Bedrock 1.21.40; before those versions only the plain bundle existed.

Can I dye a Pink Bundle pink again?

No. Since Java 1.21.2 bundles can no longer be dyed the color they already are, so a Pink Bundle cannot receive a second pink dye.
