Description

Pale Oak Wood is the all-bark wood variant of pale oak, added in Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4 "The Garden Awakens" and Bedrock Edition 1.21.50 on December 3, 2024. Pale Oak Wood displays the pale, grayish bark on every face of the block, removing the cut-log end caps you see on a Pale Oak Log and producing a continuous pillar or beam. Pale Oak Wood does not generate naturally — players craft Pale Oak Wood by placing 4 Pale Oak Logs in a 2x2 crafting grid, which yields 3 Pale Oak Wood blocks. Pale Oak Wood shares the standard log stats: hardness 2, blast resistance 2, an axe is the fastest tool, the block always drops itself, and Pale Oak Wood is flammable. Pale Oak Wood works as furnace fuel just like Pale Oak Log. Builders prize Pale Oak Wood for clean pale columns, beams, framing details, and corner posts where the cross-section of a normal log would break the visual flow. Right-clicking Pale Oak Wood with an axe strips the bark and produces Stripped Pale Oak Wood, exposing a near-white grain on all six faces.
