Description

Pale Oak Sapling is the seedling block for pale oak trees, added in Minecraft 1.21.4 with the Pale Garden biome. The sapling drops from Pale Oak Leaves like other oak saplings, and players can also collect leaves with shears. Plant the sapling on grass block, dirt, coarse dirt, podzol, rooted dirt, mud, mycelium, or farmland to start a pale oak.

Pale Oak trees are tall and need open vertical space and a clear area above the sapling to grow. Bone meal accelerates the growth, following standard sapling mechanics. The Pale Oak Sapling can also be placed in a flower pot as decoration. Because pale oak trees generate only in the Pale Garden biome, stockpiling saplings is the practical way to bring pale wood and pale leaves to bases far from that biome.

Guide

How to grow a Pale Oak Sapling in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Find Pale Oak Leaves

Travel to a Pale Garden biome and locate pale oak trees with their muted gray-white foliage.

  2. 2

    Collect saplings

Break Pale Oak Leaves until saplings drop, or harvest leaves directly with shears for guaranteed leaf blocks.

  3. 3

    Plant on suitable soil

Place the Pale Oak Sapling on grass block, dirt, coarse dirt, podzol, rooted dirt, mud, mycelium, or farmland.

  4. 4

    Clear the area above

Pale oaks are tall — leave open vertical space and a clear area around the sapling so the tree can fully generate.

  5. 5

Optional: speed up with bone meal

Apply bone meal to the sapling to accelerate growth using standard sapling mechanics.
