Description

The Pale Oak Pressure Plate is a wooden redstone component crafted from pale oak planks, added with the Pale Garden in Minecraft 1.21.4. Like every wooden pressure plate, it activates when any entity steps on it — players, mobs, dropped items, and even arrows — then sends a redstone signal of strength 15 to adjacent blocks. That makes it more sensitive than a stone pressure plate, which ignores items. Place it on top of a solid block to build hidden door triggers, item-drop detectors, or traps. Its almost-white texture matches the pale oak wood set from the gloomy Pale Garden, where the Creaking lurks, so it blends cleanly into bright builds.

Usage Guide

How to use a Pale Oak Pressure Plate in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Craft the plate

Place two pale oak planks side by side horizontally in the crafting grid to make one Pale Oak Pressure Plate.

  2. 2

Place it on a solid block

The plate needs support underneath. Put it on top of any full block where you want the trigger.

  3. 3

    Wire it to a mechanism

Run redstone dust beside it or place a door, dispenser, or lamp so the strength-15 signal can reach it.

  4. 4

    Step on it to trigger

Walk onto the plate or drop an item on it; the circuit stays powered as long as something stays on top.

Important

Unlike a stone pressure plate, the wooden Pale Oak Pressure Plate also reacts to dropped items and arrows, so use it when you need item detection.
