Description
Oak Door is crafted from six oak planks arranged in two vertical columns of three on the crafting grid, yielding three doors per recipe. The placed block occupies two vertical tiles of space — a top half tracking the upper hinge and a bottom half tracking the lower — and opens with a right-click or any redstone signal applied to either half. Adjacent doors automatically pair into double doors that swing in opposite directions for clean dramatic entrances.
On hard difficulty, zombies and certain raid mobs (vindicators always, regardless of difficulty) will attack the wooden variant during a siege, breaking through after roughly thirty seconds of contact. This is the trade-off versus iron doors: wood is cheap and player-openable, but not zombie-proof. Wooden doors of any species are flammable and will catch from nearby fire or lava. Villagers recognize this block as a valid building boundary and use it both for navigation pathing and for triggering panic behaviour during raids. Every wood family has its own door variant in matching colour.
