Melon
Melon is the green-rind fruit block of jungles — drops 3-7 sweet slices when broken, the renewable juicy food source.

Description
Melon generates as small patches in jungle and bamboo jungle biomes, growing on grass surfaces in clusters that range from one to a half-dozen blocks per cluster. The texture shows a green-and-darker-green striped sphere unmistakable for any other vanilla block. Mining without silk touch yields three to seven sweet slices per block — the count is randomised, and Fortune III enchantment increases the maximum to nine.
Melon slices are food: each restores two hunger points and a small saturation bonus, modest but renewable. Players who want fast hunger restoration craft glistering melon (slice + gold nugget = ingredient for healing potions), or simply combine nine slices in a 3×3 grid back into a fruit block for compact storage. Player-grown crops start with the seeds — found in dungeon chests or from breaking wild fruits — planted on tilled farmland adjacent to a free space, producing a stem that periodically grows fresh produce. Combined with pumpkin farms, this is the renewable food backbone of any jungle base.
