Description

Mangrove Wood is a building block that carries the bark texture of Mangrove Log on all six sides, including the ends. Four Mangrove Logs placed in a 2×2 square on the crafting grid give three Mangrove Wood. Java Edition 1.19 and Bedrock Edition 1.19.0 added Mangrove Wood. Mangrove swamps grow the mangrove trees that make Mangrove Wood renewable.

Mangrove Wood can be placed in three orientations: vertical, east–west, or north–south, the same as Mangrove Log. Using an axe on Mangrove Wood converts the block into Stripped Mangrove Wood. Mangrove Wood fits a wall, pillar, or corner that needs a continuous bark surface with no log ends showing. Mangrove Log, by contrast, shows a different texture on its two ends.

Guide

How to get and use Mangrove Wood in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Collect four Mangrove Logs

Chop Mangrove Logs from the trees of a mangrove swamp with an axe or by hand until four logs sit in the inventory.

  2. 2

    Fill a 2×2 square

Place one Mangrove Log in each cell of a 2×2 square on the crafting grid.
