Lime Candle is the green variant of the Candle, a light-source block available in sixteen dyed colors and added to Minecraft in Java 1.17 and Bedrock 1.17.10. One Lime Candle is crafted from a plain Candle plus one Lime Dye, and the plain Candle itself is crafted from one String placed directly above one Honeycomb. Up to four identically colored candles share a single block space, and every lit candle adds 3 light levels: one Lime Candle gives 3, two give 6, three give 9, and four give 12. A newly placed Lime Candle starts dark and lights up only under Flint and Steel or a Fire Charge, with the flame releasing small fire particles. Once dyed, a Lime Candle keeps the lime color forever, because recoloring a dyed candle is impossible.

Survival players never meet a Lime Candle in the world: ancient cities generate only plain and white candles, trial chambers generate only plain and red ones, and loot chests skip the lime shade entirely, so dyeing is the only way to get the green block. A lit Lime Candle suits dining tables, temples, and crypt hallways, and one candle of any color can top an uneaten Cake as a candle cake centerpiece. Water or a simple click puts out a burning Lime Candle, while waterlogged candles refuse to ignite at all, so the green decor needs a dry spot. A Lime Candle breaks with any tool or bare hands, and hardness 0.1 plus blast resistance 0.1 make the decoration fragile rather than structural.
