Description
Light Gray Carpet covers a whole block surface while standing just 1/16 of a block tall — the same visual thickness as a pressure plate — and that thickness stops mobs from spawning on top. Light Gray Carpet leaves passing light undimmed, so builders lay the carpet over a light-emitting floor block and keep the room lit with the source hidden. Light Gray Carpet on a fence or a wall lets players hop up while animals and mobs stay blocked. A Light Gray Carpet in a llama's carpet slot shows a patterned rug across the llama's back. In Java Edition, one Light Gray Carpet even smelts 0.335 items as furnace fuel, though fire and lava destroy the flammable wool.
