Description

Jungle Pressure Plate is the jungle-wood variant of the wooden pressure plate, a non-solid redstone block that sends signal strength 15 while an entity stands on top. Players, mobs, dropped items, arrows, and experience orbs all activate Jungle Pressure Plate. Every 20 game ticks (1 second), Jungle Pressure Plate checks for entities and switches off once the space is empty.

Two Jungle Planks side by side in the crafting grid craft one Jungle Pressure Plate. Any tool or bare hands mine Jungle Pressure Plate, and an axe is the fastest. Jungle Pressure Plate drops as an item when the block beneath moves or breaks, or when a piston pushes the plate. Water and lava never wash Jungle Pressure Plate away, so pressure plates are often used to hold back both fluids. Jungle Pressure Plate appeared in Java Edition 1.13 and Bedrock Edition 1.4.0.

Guide

How to make and use a Jungle Pressure Plate in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Craft the plate

Place two Jungle Planks side by side in the crafting grid to get one Jungle Pressure Plate.

  2. 2

    Place the plate

Jungle Pressure Plate stands on top of a block with a full top surface, such as stone, and also on fences and glass panes; leaves cannot support Jungle Pressure Plate.

  3. 3

    Link the redstone

Jungle Pressure Plate gives weak power to its direct neighbors and strong power to the block below, so a redstone circuit touching Jungle Pressure Plate or that block can react.

  4. 4

    Collect the plate

Remove the block under Jungle Pressure Plate, or push Jungle Pressure Plate with a piston, to get Jungle Pressure Plate back as an item.

Detect without blocking

Jungle Pressure Plate on top of a fence detects entities without stopping them, because entities can walk or fall through Jungle Pressure Plate.
