Description

Jungle Button is a wooden button crafted from a single Jungle Planks block, which yields one button. Jungle Button also generates naturally on house walls in desert villages. An axe breaks Jungle Button fastest, yet any other tool also collects the drop. Jungle Button arrived in Java Edition 1.13 and Bedrock Edition 1.4.0 and stacks to 64.

Jungle Button is a monostable power source (a switch that turns itself off after a short time). A press of Jungle Button lasts 1.5 seconds (30 ticks, where a tick is 1/20 of a second), longer than the 20 ticks of a Stone Button. Arrows, thrown tridents and wind charges can press Jungle Button as well as players, and an arrow or trident holds the press until the projectile despawns after one minute or a player picks it up. A pressed Jungle Button powers adjacent redstone dust to power level 15, and the attachment block receives strong power of the same level. Jungle Button also activates adjacent mechanisms such as a Piston or a Redstone Lamp.

How to use a Jungle Button in Minecraft

    Craft the button

    One Jungle Planks block on a Crafting Table produces one Jungle Button.

    Place it on a face

    The player uses Jungle Button on the side, top or bottom face of a full opaque block, and Jungle Button snaps onto that face.

    Press to start the signal

    A press by the player starts a 1.5-second redstone signal from Jungle Button.

    Connect the circuit

    Redstone dust, a Piston or a Redstone Lamp right next to Jungle Button activates while the press lasts.

In Java Edition, Jungle Button on the top or bottom of a block can face any of four directions.
