Description

Iron Boots are a piece of foot armor in Minecraft that add 2 armor points (one full armor icon) and have 195 durability. You craft Iron Boots from 4 iron ingots placed in a boot shape on the 3×3 crafting grid: two ingots down the left column and two down the right, leaving the middle column empty. Worn in the boots slot, Iron Boots protect better than leather or golden boots while costing far less material than diamond, which makes them the standard foot armor for the early and mid game. Iron Boots accept several enchantments: Feather Falling (boots-only, reduces fall damage), Protection, Depth Strider, Frost Walker, Soul Speed, Thorns, Unbreaking and Mending. You repair worn Iron Boots on an anvil with iron ingots, by combining two damaged pairs, or automatically with Mending. Armorer villagers sometimes sell enchanted Iron Boots, and zombies or skeletons can spawn wearing them. Iron Boots exist in both Java and Bedrock Edition.

    Smelt iron ore or raw iron in a furnace until you have at least 4 iron ingots for one pair of boots.

    Right-click a crafting table to open the full 3×3 grid that Iron Boots require.

    Place two iron ingots in the left column and two in the right column, leave the middle column empty, then take the Iron Boots.
