Block of Iron
Block of Iron compacts nine iron ingots for storage, display builds, and beacon bases, iron golems, vault doors, laboratory walls, and clean industrial builds.
Description
The block also works as a status material for beacon bases, iron golems, vault doors, laboratory walls, and clean industrial builds. Its solid texture reads clearly from a distance, especially when framed with stone, glass, chains, lanterns, or dark contrast blocks. On multiplayer servers, visible stacks of resource blocks help shops, banks, and trophy rooms communicate progress without signs or item frames everywhere.

How to craft and use a Block of Iron in Minecraft

1
Smelt nine iron ingots
Smelt iron ore or raw iron in a furnace until you have at least nine iron ingots; iron golem farms also supply ingots quickly.
-
2
Craft the block
Open a crafting table and fill all nine slots with iron ingots to make one Block of Iron. Re-craft a single block back into nine ingots anytime.
-
3
Build a beacon base
Stack Blocks of Iron into a pyramid under a beacon; iron is a valid base material alongside gold, emerald, diamond, and netherite.
-
4
Summon an iron golem
Place four Blocks of Iron in a T shape and top the center with a carved pumpkin to spawn an iron golem.
Mining a Block of Iron needs a stone pickaxe or better; a wooden pickaxe or bare hand breaks it without any drop.
