Description
Ancient city ruins generate Gray Wool on some walls and along the floors of long corridors at the structure's corners, dampening vibrations there and stopping nearby sculk sensors from waking wardens. Placing Gray Wool between a sculk sensor and its target blocks detection entirely, while also keeping note block sound from reaching an allay. In Java Edition, Gray Wool can also fuel a furnace, smelting 0.5 items per block burned, and crafts into beds, carpets, banners, and — since version 26.3 — wool stairs and wool slabs. Builders reach for Gray Wool whenever a wall needs a neutral, cool-toned filler instead of white or black.
