Description

Granite Wall is a decorative wall variant of granite that generates in desert villages and joined Minecraft in Java Edition 1.14 and Bedrock Edition 1.9.0. Six granite blocks in two rows of three on a crafting table craft six Granite Walls; a stonecutter turns one granite block into one wall block. Each desert village armorer building generates with two Granite Walls as the top part of its chimney. Any pickaxe breaks Granite Wall, while mining without a pickaxe drops nothing. Granite Wall stacks to 64, shows a hardness of 1.5, and carries a blast resistance of 6. Granite Wall brings the granite look into a slim wall shape, fitting path edges, foundations, battlements, and other borders where a full granite cube looks heavy. Granite Wall never burns and never catches fire from lava. Water can occupy the same cell as a placed wall (waterloggable). For odd wall counts, a stonecutter converts spare granite blocks into single Granite Walls without batch-crafting six at a time.

Guide

How to craft a Granite Wall in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Count the walls you need

Six granite blocks craft six Granite Walls, so plan the wall count first and gather the same number of granite blocks.

  2. 2

    Open a crafting table

A crafting table offers the 3×3 grid. Fill the middle row and the bottom row with three granite blocks each.

  3. 3

    Collect six walls

Move the six Granite Walls from the result slot into your inventory. One crafting operation spends six granite blocks.

  4. 4

Cut single walls on a stonecutter

Place one granite block into a stonecutter and take one Granite Wall when exactly one wall is needed.

  5. 5

    Mine mistakes with a pickaxe

Break misplaced Granite Wall blocks with any pickaxe, because Granite Wall mined without a pickaxe drops nothing.

A natural supply in desert villages

Each desert village armorer building generates with two Granite Walls on top of its chimney — a small natural supply.
