Description

Ghast Tear is a rare Nether drop used to brew Potion of Regeneration in Minecraft. The item drops from Ghasts in the Nether, with a 0-1 drop rate per kill, making Ghast farms over Soul Sand Valley or Nether Wastes the most reliable source. Players brew Ghast Tear with an Awkward Potion in a Brewing Stand to create a Potion of Regeneration that restores health for 45 seconds. Beyond potions, Ghast Tear is a central crafting reagent for the End Crystal: one Ghast Tear, seven Glass blocks, and one Eye of Ender produce a single End Crystal used to respawn the Ender Dragon. Because Ghasts spawn only on solid blocks in the Nether, farms built with platform spawning and lava-stream Ghast killers maximize tear yield in Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. Ghast Tear stacks to 64 in inventory and remains a renewable resource, supporting late-game potion brewing and End-tier progression.
