Description

Exposed Cut Copper Slab is the first oxidation stage of Cut Copper Slab, crafted by placing 3 Exposed Cut Copper blocks in a row on a crafting table for 6 slabs, or by cutting an Exposed Block of Copper (8 slabs) or Exposed Cut Copper (2 slabs) at a stonecutter. Trial chambers also generate Exposed Cut Copper Slab naturally, alongside the other oxidation stages. A stone pickaxe or better breaks Exposed Cut Copper Slab, and mining without a pickaxe drops nothing at all. Exposed Cut Copper Slab is waterloggable, not flammable, and stacks to 64 like most building blocks.

Exposed Cut Copper Slab keeps oxidizing over time, moving on to Weathered and then Oxidized, each stage adding more green discoloration to the copper surface. An axe scrapes off one oxidation stage, restoring the plain Cut Copper Slab color underneath. A Honeycomb applied to Exposed Cut Copper Slab stops any further oxidation and locks the current color in place. Exposed Cut Copper Slab is also one of the ingredients for Chiseled Copper, and builders after a weathered rooftop trim can let the oxidation continue toward green instead of waxing.
