Eating an Enchanted Golden Apple applies four stacked effects at once: Absorption IV for 2 minutes (16 extra health points, or 8 yellow hearts), Regeneration II for 20 seconds, Fire Resistance I for 5 minutes, and Resistance I for 5 minutes (20% less incoming damage). This combination makes Enchanted Golden Apple the strongest emergency buff before fighting the Warden, the Wither, a pillager raid, or another player in PvP. Keep at least one Enchanted Golden Apple reserved for the moment your health bar drops low, since the Absorption shield and fire immunity buy enough time to retreat or finish the fight.
