Electrum Ingot
The most expensive alloy in Ala Industrial by raw materials: one gold and one silver ingot melt into a single electrum ingot in the Alloy Smelter.
Description
The alloy has two real sinks in Minecraft 26.2. Six Electrum Ingots plus three Diamond Dust craft three Electrum Cables — the HV-tier line that moves 192 EU per tick with a 512 EU buffer — and eight Electrum Ingots wrapped around a Gold Chest make the Electrum Chest, the top tier of the mod's storage. Electrum Ingot stacks to 64, behaves identically on Fabric and NeoForge, and is not renewable: silver comes from finite ore, so every ingot spent is gone for good. Smelt electrum for a concrete goal — HV power or deep storage — not as a stockpile, because every silver ingot that becomes electrum is a machine left unbuilt.

How to Get and Use the Electrum Ingot in Minecraft
-
1
Stock gold and silver
Mine vanilla gold as usual. For silver, dig deep — the ore sits below tin level — and prefer macerating each ore block or raw drop into 2 dust for double the ingots.
-
2
Build and power an Alloy Smelter
The smelter is an LV machine: it accepts up to 32 EU/t and draws 8 EU/t while alloying — exactly the output of one coal-fired Generator.
-
3
Load one gold and one silver ingot
Drop the two ingots into any two of the smelter's input slots. Order does not matter, and ingots from other mods are accepted through the c:ingots tags.
-
4
Collect the single ingot
After 150 ticks (~7.5 s) and 1200 EU the output holds one Electrum Ingot. Two ingots entered, one left — that loss is by design.
-
5
Spend it on cables or storage
Six Electrum Ingots plus three Diamond Dust craft three HV Electrum Cables (192 EU/t); eight around a Gold Chest make the top-tier Electrum Chest.
Silver ore is finite worldgen, so Electrum Ingot cannot be farmed — plan each smelt around a real build.

Frequently asked questions
How do you make an Electrum Ingot?
Alloy one Gold Ingot with one Silver Ingot in the Alloy Smelter. The operation costs 1200 EU, takes 150 ticks (~7.5 s), and outputs exactly one ingot.
Is there electrum ore in Ala Industrial?
No. The Alloy Smelter is the only source of electrum — the mod generates no ore for it, and a vanilla furnace cannot smelt the alloy either.
What is Electrum Ingot used for?
Six ingots plus three Diamond Dust craft three HV-tier Electrum Cables rated 192 EU/t, and eight ingots around a Gold Chest produce the Electrum Chest, the top tier of the mod's storage.
Is Electrum Ingot renewable?
No. Gold can be farmed in vanilla, but silver is mined from finite ore, so the alloy is a one-way conversion of ore you found once.
Does the recipe accept other mods' gold and silver?
Yes. Inputs are read through the common c:ingots/gold and c:ingots/silver tags, so any mod's ingots alloy into electrum just like the mod's own.
Why do two ingots yield only one?
The loss is intentional and identical for every alloy in Ala Industrial; electrum simply outputs one ingot per operation, which makes it the costliest per ingot at the full 1200 EU.
