Description
Dripstone Block is crafted from four pointed dripstone arranged in a 2×2 grid on the crafting grid, yielding one block — a four-to-one ratio that consumes a lot of harvest material per output. The block also generates throughout dripstone cave biomes as the wall, ceiling, and floor material between stalactite formations. The texture is a coarse beige-brown with subtle bumps, suggesting limestone weathered by millennia of dripping.
The key mechanical interaction is its role as a stalactite generator: when placed above an open space with water flowing on top, pointed dripstone gradually grows downward from the bottom face, providing a renewable source of harvestable spikes. Builders use the block for rough cave walls, ancient ruins, wizard tower foundations, and as a tonal partner to calcite or smooth basalt for natural-cave palettes. Mining is fastest with a stone-tier or higher pickaxe. The block has no slab, stair, or wall variants — it exists only as a full block, intended for solid surfaces rather than detailed masonry.
