How to Make Diorite Wall in Minecraft
Diorite Wall
Diorite Wall is a decorative boundary block crafted from six diorite; players and most mobs cannot jump over the 1.5-block-tall wall.
Description
Walls count as 1.5 blocks tall for player and mob collisions and as 1 block tall for every other purpose, so players and most mobs cannot jump over a Diorite Wall. Since Minecraft 1.16, stacked walls leave no vertical gaps, which keeps multi-row Diorite Wall barriers solid. A Diorite Wall connects automatically to neighboring walls and glass panes, but walls never connect horizontally to fences; fence gates remain the working link. Diorite Wall gives diorite structures a mob-proof edge for animal pens, garden borders and path trim, one craft of six walls at a time.

Guide
How to craft and place a Diorite Wall in Minecraft
-
1
Collect six diorite blocks
Mine diorite with any pickaxe: diorite generates underground in the Overworld in large blobs. Diorite broken without a pickaxe drops nothing, so bring a pickaxe along.
-
2
Open a crafting table
Place a crafting table and open the 3×3 crafting grid that the wall recipe requires.
-
3
Fill two rows with diorite
Put one diorite block into each cell of the middle row and the bottom row — six diorite blocks in total, with the top row left empty.
-
4
Take the six walls
The output slot contains six Diorite Walls; move all six walls from the crafting grid into the inventory.
-
5
Place the walls in a line
Set the Diorite Walls side by side in the world; each Diorite Wall joins the neighboring walls automatically and stops most mobs from jumping across.
A stonecutter cuts one diorite into one Diorite Wall at a time. A placed Diorite Wall mined without a pickaxe drops nothing, so keep at least a wooden pickaxe when reworking a fence.
