Description

The Diamond Spear is a diamond-tier melee weapon in Minecraft that deals 4 attack damage (2 hearts) per jab and reaches up to 4.5 blocks — farther than a sword's 3-block range. Craft it from 1 diamond stacked over 2 sticks in the crafting grid, or find it in bastion remnant chests (about a 15% chance) and enchanted in end city chests. The spear has two attacks: a quick jab on the ground, and a charge attack triggered by holding the use key, which scales damage with your movement speed and knocks riders off their mounts. It cannot land critical hits or sprint-knockback. With 1561 durability and support for Sharpness, Smite, and the spear-only Lunge enchantment, the Diamond Spear upgrades into a Netherite Spear at a smithing table.

Bedrock difference

In Bedrock Edition the Diamond Spear has 1562 durability instead of Java's 1561; in both editions the spear cannot deal critical hits or sprint-knockback.
