Diamond ore is one of the most sought-after blocks in Minecraft.

Description
It generates rarely between Y=16 and Y=-64 in the Overworld, with the highest density around Y=-58. An iron pickaxe or better is required to mine it; using a wooden or stone pickaxe yields nothing. Without Silk Touch, diamond ore drops a single diamond (or up to four with Fortune III); with Silk Touch, it drops the ore block itself. Diamonds are the third-tier crafting material and are required for a full diamond toolset, enchanting tables, jukeboxes, and the upgrade template path leading to Netherite gear.
