Description

Diamond Chestplate is the torso armor piece crafted from 8 diamonds arranged around the top and sides of the 3x3 crafting grid in Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition. Diamond Chestplate provides 8 armor points (four full chestplate icons), the highest defense of any single armor slot, and has 528 durability. Worn in the chest slot, Diamond Chestplate reduces incoming damage from mobs, falls, fire, and explosions while you mine, fight, or explore caves.

Diamond Chestplate accepts enchantments such as Protection IV, Unbreaking III, Mending, and Thorns III, dramatically extending its lifespan and protection. Diamond Chestplate can be upgraded to a Netherite Chestplate at a smithing table using one netherite ingot and a netherite upgrade smithing template, which adds knockback resistance and lava immunity.
