Cyan Bed is the turquoise variant of the Minecraft bed, added to Java Edition in 1.12 and to Bedrock Edition in 1.1.0. No tool speeds up breaking a cyan bed, and the destroyed bed drops itself as an item. Crafting needs three cyan wool across the top row of the crafting grid and any three planks across the bottom row — the wool must share one color, while the planks can mix different wood types. One cyan bed also comes from combining any bed with cyan dye on the crafting grid, and shepherd villagers sell beds of any color. Desert village houses generate cyan, green, or lime beds naturally, so a desert village is the place to find a cyan bed without crafting.

Cyan Bed lets an Overworld player sleep through the night or a thunderstorm and wake at sunrise, and a single press on the bed — even during the day — sets the spawn point where the player respawns after death. Sleeping also resets the weather and keeps phantoms away: three in-game days without sleep let phantoms spawn around the player. Cyan Bed never works outside the Overworld — a sleep attempt in the Nether or the End detonates the bed with explosion power 5, stronger than TNT at power 4. Falling onto Cyan Bed bounces a player back up at 75% of the impact velocity and halves the fall distance, so a cyan bed doubles as a soft landing pad.
