Brown Banner is one of 16 craftable banner colors, made from six brown wool filling the two top crafting rows and one stick in the bottom-center slot. The base color locks in at crafting time — a finished banner can never be recolored, so changing shade means crafting a new banner from matching wool. Brown Banner also generates outside houses, meeting points, and pillar fountains in savanna villages. Any tool breaks Brown Banner, and an axe works fastest. Brown Banner drops as an item when the attached block is moved, removed, or destroyed. Brown Banner carries hardness 1 and blast resistance 1.
Brown Banner stands on the ground facing 16 directions or hangs flat on a wall, and entities walk straight through the non-solid banner. A loom layers up to six dye patterns onto Brown Banner, and using Brown Banner on a water cauldron washes off the topmost layer.
