Brick Wall is a decorative wall variant of bricks, added to Minecraft in Java Edition 1.14 and Bedrock Edition 1.9.0. Crafting six blocks of bricks in two rows of three yields six Brick Walls, and a stonecutter converts one block of bricks one-to-one. Brick Wall also generates naturally in trail ruins — a generation added with Java Edition 1.20 and Bedrock 1.19.80. Any pickaxe breaks Brick Wall — a wooden pickaxe qualifies — and mining without a pickaxe drops nothing. Brick Wall stacks to 64, never catches fire, cannot be ignited by lava, and accepts waterlogging.

Builders use Brick Wall as brick edging for garden paths, courtyards, and castle battlements. Waterlogged Brick Wall lines docks and canals. Since Java Edition 1.16, vertically stacked Brick Walls connect without gaps, so tall boundary walls read as a single surface. Brick Wall is a renewable resource and pairs with bricks blocks as the same material in wall form.
