Description
Bolt Armor Trim is one of the two armor trim smithing templates exclusive to Trial Chambers in Java 1.21, the other being Flow. Unlike Flow, which drops from standard Vaults, Bolt is rarer — it comes only from Ominous Vaults, the reinforced containers that require an Ominous Trial Key. This makes it one of the hardest trims to obtain, since players must intentionally activate Bad Omen and complete harder mob waves to access Ominous Vaults.
The pattern itself features sharp, jagged diagonal lines that resemble a lightning bolt running down the armor piece. Like all trims, it has no combat or utility effect — the template is applied at a smithing table alongside a trim material, and the chosen material color determines the final shade of the pattern. The template is consumed on use, so duplicating it beforehand with seven diamonds and a copper block is essential for players who want the look on all four armor slots.
