Andesite Wall
Andesite Wall forms a gray stone barrier that connects automatically and stands too high for most mobs to jump.
Description
Andesite Wall connects automatically to neighboring walls, fence gates, and many solid blocks, creating straight runs, corners, posts, and enclosed yards without separate variants. The cool gray texture suits fortress parapets, mountain roads, industrial foundations, garden borders, and transitions between smooth stone and rough cobblestone palettes. Andesite Wall does not provide a redstone signal, but its changing connection shape makes placement order important around gates and decorative gaps. Use a stonecutter for exact quantities and mix Andesite Wall with polished andesite, stone bricks, or cobblestone to keep large defensive builds from looking flat.
Building guide
How to craft and build with Andesite Wall
-
1
Collect andesite
Mine at least 6 andesite blocks with a pickaxe, or prepare individual blocks for one-to-one cutting in a stonecutter.
-
2
Choose the recipe
Place 6 andesite blocks in two horizontal rows to craft 6 walls, or use a stonecutter to turn 1 andesite into 1 wall.
-
3
Place the boundary
Set Andesite Wall segments along the intended edge; neighboring pieces connect automatically into straight runs and corners.
-
4
Test gates and gaps
Add fence gates or solid anchor blocks, then inspect each connection because nearby blocks can change the wall’s visible shape.
The collision shape is about 1.5 blocks high, so most mobs cannot jump over an Andesite Wall even when the model looks lower.
