How to Make Acacia Trapdoor in Minecraft
Acacia Trapdoor
Acacia Trapdoor is a wooden hatch that works as a switchable 1×1 barrier, opened by hand or by redstone (the game's electrical wiring).
Description
In Java Edition, Acacia Trapdoor is only 3/16 of a block thick, so the rest of the space stays passable. Acacia Trapdoor opens upward when it sits on the lower half of a block and downward when it sits on the upper half, and it stays in place even if the block it was attached to is removed. Acacia Trapdoor is not flammable but catches fire from lava, and in a furnace it burns as fuel for 1.5 items per trapdoor.

Guide
How to use Acacia Trapdoor in Minecraft
-
1
Craft the trapdoors
Six Acacia Planks in a 2×3 pattern on the crafting grid produce two Acacia Trapdoors.
-
2
Choose the half of the block
Acacia Trapdoor placed on the lower half of a block opens upward, while Acacia Trapdoor placed on the upper half opens downward.
-
3
Open and close it
Right-clicking swings Acacia Trapdoor open or shut, and an adjacent redstone torch, a block of redstone or powered redstone dust pointing at the trapdoor triggers the same swing.
-
4
Climb through it
In Java Edition, an open Acacia Trapdoor directly above a ladder on the same side of the wall works as part of the climb.
-
5
Set a mob trap
Mobs treat every trapdoor as closed, so an open Acacia Trapdoor over a drop sends walking mobs falling through.
A player who stands under Acacia Trapdoor and closes it one block above the ground starts crawling and can enter small secret tunnels.

Frequently asked questions
Does Acacia Trapdoor fall off if the block behind it is broken?
No. Acacia Trapdoor stays in place after its attachment block is moved, removed or destroyed.
Can Acacia Trapdoor be waterlogged?
Yes. Acacia Trapdoor can share its space with water, and it also blocks flowing water and lava.
How does Acacia Trapdoor differ from Iron Trapdoor?
Iron Trapdoor opens only by redstone, while Acacia Trapdoor opens by hand or by redstone.
Why does Acacia Trapdoor not reopen after being closed by hand?
A powered Acacia Trapdoor closed by hand reopens only after the signal turns off and on again. Each redstone state change takes one game tick (1/20 of a second).
Does a wind charge affect Acacia Trapdoor?
Yes. The wind burst of a thrown Wind Charge opens a closed Acacia Trapdoor and closes an open one.
