Zombie Horse Spawn Egg — Minecraft block

Zombie Horse Spawn Egg is a Creative-mode item that spawns a Zombie Horse the moment you right-click it onto a solid block in Minecraft. The egg carries the speckled two-tone texture shared by every spawn egg, tinted to match the Zombie Horse's grey-green hide, and a spawned horse has a 20% chance to be a foal. The egg cannot be crafted in Survival: it comes from the Creative inventory or the /give command. Since the Mounts of Mayhem update (December 2025), Zombie Horses also spawn naturally at night or during thunderstorms in plains-family biomes, always ridden by a zombie horseman with an iron spear, so the egg is now a convenient shortcut rather than the only option.

A spawned Zombie Horse is a fully tamable undead mount: ride it repeatedly until hearts appear, then fit it with a saddle to steer it and horse armor to shield it from burning in sunlight. As an undead creature, the Zombie Horse takes damage from Instant Health, is healed by Instant Damage, ignores Regeneration, and suffers extra hits from the Smite enchantment. Unlike a normal horse, a Zombie Horse cannot be bred, but red mushrooms heal it for 3 health points and raise its temper, making taming faster — so the Zombie Horse Spawn Egg serves map-makers, adventure maps, and players who want a rare themed steed.
