Wither Rose
Wither Rose is Minecraft's only black flower — it drops when the Wither kills a mob and inflicts the Wither effect on anything that stands on it.
Description
Wither Rose crafts into one black dye, giving it a renewable use once you build a Wither-powered farm. Wither Rose can be placed in a flower pot or directly on dirt, grass, podzol, mycelium, nylium, and soul soil, making it a striking dark accent for nether bases, gothic gardens, and haunted builds. Combining a Wither Rose with a bowl and mushrooms brews a Suspicious Stew that inflicts the Wither effect for 8 seconds.

How to get and use a Wither Rose in Minecraft
-
1
Summon a Wither
Build a Wither from four soul sand blocks and three wither skeleton skulls, then lure the boss toward other mobs you can sacrifice.
-
2
Let the Wither kill a mob
Every mob slain by the Wither's attacks leaves one Wither Rose on the block where it died — this is the only way to obtain it.
-
3
Collect the flower safely
Break the Wither Rose with any tool or your hand and pick it up, but never stand on it or you will take the Wither effect.
-
4
Plant it or craft with it
Place the Wither Rose in a flower pot or on dirt, grass, or soul soil, or craft it into one black dye.
Standing on a Wither Rose inflicts the Wither effect, which can kill you; undead mobs and the Wither itself are immune.

Can you craft anything with a Wither Rose?
Yes. One Wither Rose crafts into one black dye, and combining it with a bowl and mushrooms makes a Suspicious Stew that gives the Wither effect for 8 seconds.
What version added the Wither Rose?
The Wither Rose was added in Minecraft Java Edition 1.14 and Bedrock Edition 1.11 as part of the flower set tied to the Wither boss.
Where can you plant a Wither Rose?
