Vex Spawn Egg
Vex Spawn Egg spawns a Vex, the small flying sword-wielding mob from Minecraft 1.11, and is obtainable only in Creative mode or with the /give command.
Description
Using Vex Spawn Egg spawns a Vex with 14 health points (7 hearts) that flies freely, phases through walls and blocks, and attacks with an iron sword for up to 9 damage on Normal difficulty. A Vex created from Vex Spawn Egg shares the same charged-attack behaviour as Evoker-summoned Vexes but does not vanish from the Evoker's life timer, making Vex Spawn Egg useful for testing redstone traps, building mob arenas, and filming combat scenes. Map makers rely on Vex Spawn Egg to place flying enemies in adventure maps where Evokers would be impractical.

How to get and use a Vex Spawn Egg in Minecraft
-
1
Open Creative inventory or use a command
Switch to Creative mode and open the spawn-eggs tab, or run /give @s minecraft:vex_spawn_egg in any game mode with cheats enabled.
-
2
Select the Vex Spawn Egg
Pick up the Vex Spawn Egg from the inventory; its dark grey-blue icon with pale spots tells it apart from other spawn eggs.
-
3
Spawn the Vex
Right-click (Java) or tap (Bedrock) on a solid block to spawn one Vex at that spot. In Creative mode the number of uses is unlimited.
-
4
Manage the spawned Vex
The Vex flies through walls, so cover the area with a roof if you want to contain it; vexes from a spawn egg do not vanish on their own and stay until killed.
Vex Spawn Egg is unobtainable in Survival mode and has no crafting recipe — it exists only for Creative building, command blocks, and map making.
