Get the spawn egg
In Creative mode press E and search for 'Turtle Spawn Egg', or run /give @s turtle_spawn_egg to add it to your hotbar.

Aim at a solid block
Point your crosshair at the top of a grass, sand, or stone block where you want the turtle to appear.

Use the spawn egg
Right-click in Java Edition, or tap and hold in Bedrock Edition, to spawn one baby turtle on the targeted surface.

Grow or breed the turtle
Feed the baby seagrass to speed up its growth, or feed two adults seagrass so one burrows into nearby sand and lays turtle eggs.
Spawn eggs are not available in the Survival inventory. You need Creative mode or enabled cheats to obtain the Turtle Spawn Egg.
