Trader Llama Spawn Egg is a creative-only item that spawns a Trader Llama when you right-click a block surface, and it cannot be crafted or obtained in Survival without commands. Trader Llama Spawn Egg was introduced in Minecraft Java Edition 1.14 (Village & Pillage) and Bedrock Edition 1.11, the same update that added the Wandering Trader. In the wild, two Trader Llamas spawn already leashed to each Wandering Trader, but a llama created from the Trader Llama Spawn Egg is persistent and never despawns.

A Trader Llama behaves like a standard llama with one key difference: it spits at any hostile mob that attacks it, a nearby player, or its Wandering Trader, making the Trader Llama Spawn Egg useful for testing mob-defense setups and caravan mechanics. Trader Llamas can be leashed and linked into a caravan of up to ten animals, and their health ranges from 15 to 30 hearts like ordinary llamas. Builders and map-makers use the Trader Llama Spawn Egg to populate villages, roads, and adventure maps with roaming merchants and their guardian llamas without waiting for a natural Wandering Trader to appear.
