Description

Sulfur Bricks are a decorative masonry block introduced in Minecraft 26.2 "Chaos Cubed". The bricks display a tiled yellow pattern derived from Polished Sulfur, the refined form of resources mined in the new Sulfur Caves biome. Crafted by placing four Polished Sulfur in a 2×2 pattern, the recipe yields four bricks, while a Stonecutter produces a 1:1 conversion for precise builds. Builders favor Sulfur Bricks for ornate temples, desert palaces, and yellow castle walls, where the warm hue contrasts well with Deepslate and Blackstone. The block can be mined with any pickaxe and stacks to 64 in the inventory.

Java & Bedrock Guide

How to craft and use Sulfur Bricks in Minecraft

  1. 1

Mine Sulfur in the Sulfur Caves

Explore the Sulfur Caves biome added in Minecraft 26.2 and break Sulfur blocks with any pickaxe. Mining a Sulfur block without a pickaxe drops nothing.

  2. 2

    Refine into Polished Sulfur

Turn Sulfur into Polished Sulfur in the crafting grid, or run it through a Stonecutter for a clean 1:1 conversion.

  3. 3

    Craft the bricks

Place four Polished Sulfur in a 2×2 crafting pattern to get four Sulfur Bricks. A Stonecutter also cuts Sulfur or Polished Sulfur straight into bricks.

  4. 4

    Build stairs, slabs and walls

Craft Sulfur Bricks into Slabs (3 bricks → 6), Stairs (6 → 4) or Walls (6 → 6), or stonecut each variant directly to waste less material.

Edition note

Bedrock Edition also lets you stonecut Sulfur Bricks into Chiseled Sulfur. Sulfur Bricks are not flammable and have a blast resistance of 6.
