No crafting recipe exists for Spore Blossom, and the flower is non-renewable — every bloom must be hand-picked from a lush cave ceiling, leaving a finite world supply. Spore Blossom breaks instantly by hand, with hardness 0 and blast resistance 0, yet the flower is flammable despite emitting no light. The flower attaches only to the underside of a solid block and never to leaves, making Spore Blossom the only hanging bloom players can freely reposition.

Spore Blossom emits two streams of green spore particles: a narrow column falling straight down up to 70 blocks, plus a wider cloud drifting inside a 21x12x21 area beneath the bloom. Builders hang Spore Blossom from indoor ceilings, dripstone chambers, and bee farms, because bees pollinate the flower for a +1 honey level and can be bred or lured with it.
