Description

Silverfish Spawn Egg is a Creative-mode item that spawns a single silverfish on the block face where you use it. Silverfish Spawn Egg cannot be crafted or found in Survival — it is available only from the Creative inventory or through the /give command (/give @p silverfish_spawn_egg) in both Java and Bedrock Edition, where spawn eggs have existed since Java Edition 1.1. The egg uses a light silver-gray base color with darker gray spots that mirror the silverfish's segmented body.

Players use Silverfish Spawn Egg to place silverfish for traps, mob farms, and stronghold-style builds without mining infested blocks. Using Silverfish Spawn Egg on a monster spawner converts that spawner to produce silverfish. Each spawned silverfish has 8 health (4 hearts), hides in infested stone and deepslate, and summons nearby silverfish when attacked, so build a sealed enclosure before releasing one indoors.
