Description

Rib Armor Trim Smithing Template appears in Nether Fortress loot chests and belongs to the smithing template system used for armor customization. It does not craft armor by itself. Instead, it goes into a smithing table together with one armor piece and one trim material such as iron, copper, redstone, lapis lazuli, gold, quartz, emerald, diamond, netherite, or amethyst. The result keeps the original armor statistics and changes only the visual overlay. The rib pattern looks narrow and skeletal, which makes it a strong match for dark fortresses, wither builds, and Nether-themed equipment sets. Like other trim templates, it can be duplicated with 7 diamonds and 1 netherrack so players do not have to risk their only copy while exploring dangerous structures. The template was added in Java Edition 1.20 and exists in Bedrock Edition as well.
