Description

Resin Brick is a craftable solid block introduced in Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4 "The Garden Awakens". Resin Brick is produced either by combining 4 Resin Clumps in any shapeless crafting arrangement or by smelting 1 Resin Clump in a furnace to yield 1 Resin Brick. Resin Brick is the primary intermediate material in the resin crafting chain: 9 Resin Bricks compress into 1 Block of Resin for storage, while Resin Brick itself is used to craft Resin Brick Slabs, Resin Brick Stairs, Resin Brick Walls, and Chiseled Resin Bricks. Resin Brick has a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 4.2. Any pickaxe is required to mine Resin Brick — without a pickaxe, Resin Brick drops nothing. Resin Brick is not flammable and does not conduct redstone signals. The distinctive orange and amber color of Resin Brick makes it suitable for warm-toned architectural sets and decorative accents. Resin Clumps, the raw source for Resin Brick, drop from Creaking Heart blocks when a Creaking mob takes damage in the Pale Garden biome.

Guide

How to craft and use Resin Brick

  1. 1

    Find the Pale Garden biome

Resin Bricks require Resin Clumps, which drop from Creaking Heart blocks in the Pale Garden biome. Pale Gardens generate naturally in the world and contain pale-colored trees with Pale Oak Logs.

  2. 2

Trigger a Creaking Heart to drop Resin Clumps

Creaking mobs are linked to Creaking Heart blocks. When a Creaking mob takes damage, the connected Creaking Heart drops Resin Clumps onto the ground. Attack the Creaking mob to collect Resin Clumps.

  3. 3

Craft Resin Brick from Resin Clumps

Place 4 Resin Clumps in any arrangement on the crafting grid (shapeless recipe) to get 1 Resin Brick. Alternatively, smelt 1 Resin Clump in any furnace to get 1 Resin Brick at the cost of fuel.

  4. 4

    Build with Resin Brick variants

Use Resin Brick to craft Resin Brick Slabs (3 Resin Bricks in a row), Resin Brick Stairs (6 Resin Bricks in stair pattern), Resin Brick Walls (6 Resin Bricks in two rows), and Chiseled Resin Bricks (2 Resin Brick Slabs stacked vertically).

  5. 5

Compress Resin Bricks into a Block of Resin

To save inventory space, fill a 3×3 crafting grid with 9 Resin Bricks to create 1 Block of Resin. Block of Resin can be decompressed back into 9 Resin Bricks at any crafting table.
